Finance Manager

We are looking for a Finance Manager
 
Salary – up to £50,000 basic DOE
 
Location: Chester CH1
 
Working hours
8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday
8.30am to 1.30pm, Friday
 
Permanent Position! 
 
JDR is recruiting for a Finance Manager to manage the finance for one UK division (of two entities) and to provide credit control and controlling support where needed to MEA RFC and wider accounting team as required
 
As a finance manager your core duties will be as follows:

• Fulfil comprehensive financial management role for two UK entities circa with 1.0 FTE support
• Credit control functionality including chasing non-payment, providing copy invoices, arranging repayment schedules, engaging debt recovery
• Support with evaluation requests from customers/suppliers
• Coordinating fleet vehicles for the business
• Entering purchase requisitions where needed
• Support counter party credit process including order release
• Complete day-to-day checks, reconciliations, postings to general ledger
• Run reports and provide insights for daily/weekly/monthly key metrics
• Complete monthly payroll postings and pension reconciliations
• Support month-end processes in SAP, COPA, Allocations, etc
• Complete month-end accruals, postings, complete moth-end close, month-end reporting and P & L balance sheet
• Produce financial analyses as needed, particularly for capital investments and pricing decisions
• Engage in the training and retention of skilled staff
• Participate in functional projects and financial audits
• Partner local team to continuously improve service, cost, efficiency
• Adhere to all local legal, health and safety and compliance requirements, policies and procedures

 
About You:
As a Finance manager you will have the following skills and experience:

• Professional (part/full) accounting qualification such as AAT, CIMA
• 3 yrs+ experience/knowledge working in a similar role
• Strong numeric and analytical skills plus process analysis capability
• Strong organisational, process and interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Divisional financial process understanding
• Excellent skills and knowledge for/with multi-dimensional reporting systems
• Willingness to continue to learn & grow
• Relevant work experience and knowledge of SAP FI, CO, COPA, etc
• Advanced Excel ability
• Strong written and spoken English language
• Matrix structure working/reporting is advantageous
