Abattoir Operative

We are looking for multiple Abattoir Operatives to join a highly reputable client of ours in near Oldland Common, Bristol

Pay: £14.00 – £19.00 p/h (depending on experience) (Weekly pay)

Oldland Common, Bristol (BS30)

Immediate start 

Own transportation would be beneficial due to client location and start time

Shift:

• Monday – OFF
• Tuesday – 7-4.30pm
• Wednesday – 7-4.30pm
• Thursday – 8.30 – 3.30pm
• Friday – 7am – 4pm (sometimes a little longer)

JDR is recruiting for several reliable and hard-working Abattoir Operatives to work within a busy environment in Oldland Common, Bristol

The role: 

As an Abattoir Operative you will be working within a busy environment and your duties will be as followed: 

• Carry out slaughterhouse duties in accordance with company procedures and animal welfare regulations.

• Assist with the slaughtering process and the handling and processing of livestock.

• Prepare carcasses for further processing, where required.

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety throughout the production area.

• Follow all health and safety procedures and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Operate equipment and machinery safely, following relevant training and instructions.

• Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety legislation and quality standards.

• Handle meat products and by-products in accordance with company procedures.

• Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

• Report any equipment faults, safety concerns or animal welfare issues to management promptly.

About you:  

As an Abattoir Operative you will have the following skills and experience: 

• Can start immediately and are looking for long term work 

• Willing to learn and train in accordance with company procedures

• You will be able to travel to Oldland Common (BS30) for times listed above
