Cleaner

Key Responsibilities

• Clean laboratories, offices, corridors, changing rooms, and welfare facilities.
• Carry out scheduled cleaning of floors, walls, work surfaces, windows, and equipment exteriors.
• Follow approved cleaning procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
• Dispose of waste appropriately, including laboratory and controlled waste where authorised.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, sanitiser, and PPE supplies.
• Maintain accurate cleaning records and documentation.
• Report maintenance issues, spillages, contamination risks, or safety concerns.
• Support audits and inspections by ensuring areas remain compliant and inspection-ready.
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Comply with GMP, Health & Safety, and environmental policies at all times.

Skills and Experience

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
• Understanding of health and safety practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills.

Working Hours

Monday – friday 6am-12pm or 7am-1pm – 30 hours a week

£12.71 per hour
