CNC Operator

JDR are hiring for multiple CNC machinists for one of their clients in Newcastle under Lyme, ST5

Contract type: Permanent vacancy

Working Hours:

You can choose either Day shift or Night Shifts

Day shift – £16.50-£18.00 per hour – Dependant on experience

7:30 – 4:30, Monday to Friday. 12:30pm finish Friday

Night shift – £21.45 – £23.40 – Dependant on experience

18:00 – 4:30am, Sunday to Thursday

The Role:

• Programming, setting and monitoring of Lathe, Mills and turning CNC machines using CADCAM software
• Regularly performing quality checks on the finished products in line with the companies QMS
• Working to estimated production times
• Working within the companies H&S policy
• Ensuring the work areas are organised and tidy.
• Ensuring tooling is returned to the tool stores.
• Ensuring material is returned to the material stores.

What we’re looking for:

• An experienced CNC setter, who has experience working through the full CNC lifecycle, including programming, setting and operating.
• Programming experience with Heidenhein, Mazatrol or Siemens controls would be a benefit, as would any experience with CADCAM software
• Someone who has an eye for detail and can quality check finished products.
• A minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role
