JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a CNC Turner to join our client based in Runcorn WA7.

You will be to working as part of a team operating a range of precision and general engineering machinery.

This positions is permanent

Working Hours: 39 hours per week

Early Shift (Monday to Friday 6am – 2.30pm)

Late Shift (Mon-Thurs 2pm – 11pm) and (Fri 2pm – 6pm)

Location: Runcorn WA7

Job Role: CNC Turner

Salary: upto £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + 10% shift allowance – Dependent upon experience

The Role:

  • To read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Setting up and configuring of CNC turning centre
  • Loading raw materials (bars / billets) and installing of tools for turning
  • Read, interpret, edit or write CNC programs, specifically using Fanuc
  • Identifying and resolving production issues such as dimension inaccuracies
  • Undertake inspection of finished components using general inspection equipment such as micrometers

About You / Skills / Experience:

  • Formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering, Machining or similar (HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Self-motivated and have the ability to work with initiative.
  • To have the ability to work within a team of engineers.
  • Having a high level of experience working within a production manufacturing business /environment.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding of measuring equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret drawings. – Works well both unsupervised and as part of a team.
