We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join a growing Contracts Division within a market-leading business supplying the housing and construction sectors. This is a fully office-based role and a unique opportunity to establish and develop a commercial function from the ground up, with the potential to build and lead a team as the business grows.
As the Commercial Manager, you will act as the key link between Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Project Management teams, taking ownership of the commercial performance of kitchen supply and installation contracts from award through to final account settlement. You will monitor project margins, revenues, and costs, working closely with Finance and Project Managers to deliver accurate forecasting and reporting. A key focus of the role will be improving cash collection performance, reducing debtor days, and proactively managing payment disputes and commercial risks.
The role will involve reviewing contracts, managing variations and claims, supporting dispute resolution, and ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled. You will act as the central point of coordination between Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Installation Teams, Project Management, and Finance to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
You will also support supply chain and procurement activities, oversee commercial compliance, and provide guidance and training to operational teams on contractual obligations, variation management, and commercial best practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic commercial leadership with day-to-day operational involvement.
