Counterbalance FLT Driver

Key Responsibilities:

FLT Operation

• Operate a counterbalance forklift truck in a safe and efficient manner
• Load and unload vehicles (lorries, vans, containers)
• Transport goods to and from warehouse locations
• Carry out daily pre-use equipment checks and report defects

Despatch Duties

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
• Ensure correct labelling and documentation for shipments
• Load outgoing goods securely and accurately
• Check goods against delivery notes and pick sheets
• Work with courier systems and booking procedures

Warehouse Duties

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Assist with stock control and inventory checks
• Handle goods carefully to avoid damage
• Follow all company procedures and health & safety guidelines

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Minimum of 6 months FLT experience – The client will accept inhouse licences
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills

Shifts

We have 2 shift patterns available:

Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

&

Saturday & Sunday 7am-4pm

Pay

The starting pay rate is £12.71 per hour increasing to £12.95 – £13 per hour once permanent
