Role: Finishing Operative – Paint Line

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm

Salary: £12.21/hour raising to £12.77/hour

Location: Ammanford, Carmarthenshire

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Operative to join our client in the Ammanford area within their paint line department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint to various materials using a spray gun. The Finishing Operative must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work efficiently to meet deadlines

Duties:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
  • Select and mix paint colours to match specifications
  • Apply paint to surfaces using a spray gun
  • Ensure that paint is applied evenly and without drips or runs
  • Monitor drying times and make adjustments as necessary
  • Clean and maintain spray guns and other equipment

The successful candidate will:

  • Proven experience as a Spray Painter or similar role
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
