JDR Recruitment are recruiting for FLT Counterbalance Drivers in Haydock, St Helens

Ideally candidates will have a valid counterbalance licence refreshed within the last 3 years, however we can accept in-house licences and expired licences, as long as you have recent experience on the trucks.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and in accordance with site rules and HSE guidelines
Load and unload vehicles, trailers, and containers
Move, stack, and store stock in designated warehouse locations
Carry out daily pre‑use FLT checks and report defects promptly
Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage
Pick, replenish, and transport materials as required
Maintain accurate paperwork / electronic records where needed
Keep work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards
Follow all health & safety, quality, and environmental procedures
Support general warehouse duties when required

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

Copy of Counterbalance licence
Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift
Good understanding of warehouse health & safety practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good timekeeping and reliability

Desirable:

Previous experience in a fast‑paced warehouse or logistics environment
Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS)

Hours of Work:

Day Shifts Available: Sunday-Thursday or Tueday-Saturday 8am-6pm
Night Shifts Available: Sunday – Thursday 8pm-6am

Pay:

£13.21 for day shifts
£14.21 for night shifts

Temporary to Permanent for the right candidates
