FLT Driver - Counterbalance & Reach

Key Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles in accordance with safe working practices.
• Move stock, components and materials between warehouse and production areas.
• Put away stock into designated storage locations.
• Pick orders accurately for production and customer dispatch.
• Complete stock checks and assist with inventory control activities.
• Ensure goods received match delivery documentation.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report defects.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Assist with packing, labelling and dispatch activities when required.
• Use warehouse management systems, scanners or paperwork accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operation.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Adhere to site speed limits and traffic management rules.
• Report accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
• Follow manual handling and safe lifting procedures.
• Participate in safety training and toolbox talks.

Skills & Experience

• Valid FLT Counterbalance & Reach licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Must have a valid UK drivers licnece as the role involves driving the FLT over a road
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

39 Hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm & Friday 8am to 3:30pm

Breaks are paid, 1 X 10 minutes & 1 X 30 minutes

£15.50 per hour
