Gatehouse Security and Receptionist in New Mills

JDR are recruiting for a Gatehouse Security and Receptionist to work night shifts on a fixed pattern in New Mills.

This is a key position within the business, responsible for maintaining site security, controlling access, and providing professional front-of-house and administrative support during night operations.

Shift Pattern

Nights: 18:00 – 06:00
Pattern: 3 on / 3 off

Pay Rate: £15.99 per hour

About the Role

As Gatehouse Security and Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and smooth running of the site outside of standard operating hours. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, and drivers, maintaining high standards of professionalism and security at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and controlling site access

• Booking in visitors, contractors, and deliveries accurately

• Managing visitor and vehicle logs in line with company procedures

• Carrying out routine security checks and site patrols as required

• Operating barrier and gate systems

• Handling incoming calls and general reception duties

• Providing administrative support where necessary

• Ensuring all health and safety and security procedures are followed

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in security, gatehouse, or reception roles preferred

• Confident communicator with a professional manner

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

• Comfortable working independently during night shifts

• Basic IT skills for logging systems and administrative tasks

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
