Production Support Operator – Night Shift

Must have Right to Work in the UK

Our successful Manufacturer/Supplier Client are looking to expand their workforce due to high customer demands.


Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm – 6:00am

As a member of the Cover Team, you will:

  • Support and cover the Team Leader during day-to-day operations and periods of absence.
  • Provide support to other team members within the Bottling Hall when required.
  • Be flexible and able to operate all machinery within the area.
  • Rotate across the area to ensure production is:
    • Safe
    • Hygienic
    • Efficient
    • Cost-effective
    • Completed to the required quality, specification and quantity.

Key Responsibilities

When providing cover, you will:

  • Support the Team Leader with day-to-day production activities.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of:
    • Health & Safety
    • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
    • Food Safety
    • Continuous Improvement (CI)
  • Support with ordering ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Identify and communicate mechanical issues that may affect production performance.
  • Record and monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Take appropriate action to resolve production issues.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across the team.
  • Help supervise and organise the team of Multi-Skilled Operators.
  • Ensure all relevant Critical Control Points (CCPs) for the production line are understood and followed.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Flexible and willing to support different areas when required.
  • Organised and conscientious, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident and competent in operating machinery.
  • Able to work accurately and follow procedures.
  • Comfortable completing paperwork and carrying out calculations.
  • Numerate and literate, with a high level of accuracy.
  • A good communicator who works well collaboratively with:
  • Operatives, Team Leaders, Other members of the production team
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of Food Safety and CCP requirements.
  • Confident in taking responsibility and helping to lead and organise others.
