Join a rapidly expanding FMCG packaging and distribution company. This is a Senior Leadership Role supporting the Managing Director to shape the future of their growing operations.

Our client based in North Preston is a well-established packaging and distribution company operating within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a forward-thinking and commercially astute professional to join the leadership team as second in command within the business.

This is a strategic and operational leadership role suited to someone looking to further develop their career and progress within a rapidly expanding SME environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director, who has successfully grown the business across the UK, and will play a key role in driving both operational efficiency and online sales growth.

A proven background in e-commerce is essential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing online sales channels and uploading and optimising product listings across selling platforms. This includes the ability to create compelling listings-using effective titles, descriptions, keywords, pricing strategies, and imagery ensure products gain visibility and sell quickly in competitive online marketplaces.

Location: Preston

Hours of work: 40 hours

Pay Rate: c£30 – £35k

Job Type: Full Time

Daily Duties/Responsibilities

  • Operational and Logistics Management – Driving day to day with confidence and efficiency
  • Meeting with suppliers and developing accounts
  • Identifying and developing commercial opportunities
  • Implementing and enhancing marketing initiatives on all platforms
  • Supporting business growth and long term planning
  • Reporting and analysing consumer data to enhance performance of sales – short term and long term
  • Producing reports on various platforms including excel
  • Working closely with the MD, Financial Controller and Wider team

About You

  • Proven experience in a commercial role ideally within FMCG
  • Flexible, proactive with a desire to demand change
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Developing and executing marketing strategies across multiple platforms
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical skills
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently with ambition and drive
  • Relationship builder – internally and externally
