Packer

Key Responsibilities

• Pack finished products according to packing instructions and customer specifications.
• Inspect products for defects, damage, or quality issues before packing.
• Label cartons and pallets correctly.
• Assemble packaging materials where required.
• Count and record completed products accurately.
• Prepare goods for dispatch and storage.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Report damaged products, equipment faults, or stock discrepancies to supervisors.
• Support production and warehouse teams as required.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately and at pace.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable

• Previous packing, production, or warehouse experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures.
• Forklift licence (if applicable).

Physical Requirements

• Standing for extended periods.
• Lifting and moving boxes and packaging materials.
• Manual handling of products and pallets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse setting.
• Use of PPE (safety shoes, hi-vis clothing, gloves, etc.) where required.
• Shift work and overtime may be required to meet production demands.
