Part-Time Cleaner

🎯 Purpose of the Role

To maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff by ensuring all areas of the leisure facility are cleaned and sanitised to a high standard.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors across all areas
• Clean and disinfect seating areas, tables, and public spaces
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, fixtures, and equipment

Washroom Maintenance

• Clean toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors
• Replenish consumables (toilet paper, soap, paper towels)
• Ensure high hygiene standards are maintained throughout the day

Food & Beverage Areas

• Clean tables, counters, and chairs in café/bar areas
• Maintain cleanliness of service and seating spaces

Health & Safety

• Follow all cleaning and health & safety procedures
• Use chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
• Display warning signs (e.g. wet floor signs) when necessary
• Report any hazards, faults, or maintenance issues

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Qualities

• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual
• Basic understanding of cleaning methods and products
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
• Previous cleaning experience

Desirable

• Knowledge of health and safety practices

Working Conditions

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 8am-10am – 10 hours a week

Pay rate:

• £12.71 per hour
