Picker / Packer

The Picker / Packer is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing light products for dispatch in a fast‑paced warehouse or production environment. The role focuses on accuracy, attention to detail, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Picking

• Accurately pick light products from racking using pick sheets or handheld scanners.
• Ensure correct quantities, product codes, and batch/lot numbers are selected.
• Place items into designated totes, pallets, or picking carts safely.

Packing

• Pack light products into appropriate packaging
• Ensure items are protected and packaged to company and customer standards.
• Seal, label, and prepare packages for dispatch.
• Insert documentation such as invoices, packing slips, or instructions where required.

General Warehouse Duties

• Maintain clean and organised work areas.
• Follow stock rotation principles
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect stock.
• Assist with goods-in or basic stock checks when required.
• Use basic warehouse systems or handheld scanners.

Skills & Experience

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable standing and walking for most of the shift.
• Basic numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

We have the following shifts available:

Monday – Friday 6am-2pm

Monday – Friday 2pm-10pm

Overtime is available at the weekend

Pay Rate:

£12.71 per hour

Long term work potentially leading to permanent for the right candidates.
