My client, based in Cramlington, are looking for an experienced pre-press Operator to work on a permanent basis. Dayshift (9am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday)

You will be responsible for preparing customer prints, creating impositions efficiently and ensuring accurate and smooth workflow.

Daily duties would include –

  • Checking supplied files for errors, missing elements and colour and resolution problem
  • Amending customer artwork
  • Imposing print production jobs for the litho presses
  • Preparing digital files
  • Preparing cad files for die-making
  • Using apple Macs and windows PCs
  • printing imposition proofs

Requirements

  • Previous experience in pre-press or print production environment
  • Experience with Apogee software is highly desirable
  • knowledge of imposition techniques and print finishing processes is a plus
  • Understanding of colour management , ICC profiles and print processes
