Job Summary

The Production Operative is responsible for supporting the manufacturing of high-quality bedding and textile products. This includes operating machinery, assembling products, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient workflow within the production area.

Key Responsibilities

Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
Assemble homeware products to required specifications
Monitor product quality and report any defects or issues
Pack finished goods accurately for dispatch
Follow production schedules to meet daily targets
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Carry out routine checks on machinery and report faults
Follow company health & safety procedures and guidelines at all times
Assist with stock handling and materials movement within the production area
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow instructions and work to standard operating procedures
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods
Capable of lifting and handling materials where required
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday 2pm-11pm & Friday 1pm-4pm
Overtime may be required during peak production periods

Health & Safety

Adhere strictly to company health & safety policies
Wear appropriate PPE at all times
Report hazards, accidents, or equipment issues immediately

Salary

£12.71 per hour
