Production Operator – Glass Department

Location: Ammanford

JDR Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Operator to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Swansea.

This role will be based within the glass department, supporting the production of high-quality window units. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company offering long-term, consistent work within a supportive team environment.

Pay & Benefits

  • £12.71 per hour

  • Weekly pay (every Friday)

  • PAYE – employed directly with full benefits

  • Ongoing, full-time work

  • Consistent shifts Monday to Friday

Working Hours

  • Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm

The Role

Working within the glass production area, your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the manufacturing and processing of glass units

  • Operating machinery and equipment within the glass shop

  • Handling and moving glass safely in line with procedures

  • Supporting the production line to meet daily targets

  • Carrying out quality checks on finished products

  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

  • Following strict health and safety procedures at all times

This role involves working in a warm environment due to the heat generated by furnaces and machinery, so candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions.

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable working in a hot production environment

  • Ability to work on your feet and carry out manual tasks

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Strong work ethic and team player

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is desirable but not essential
