Recycling Picker

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate recyclable plastic products
• Remove non-recyclable or contaminated items from the production line.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times.
• Follow health and safety procedures and wear provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work as part of a team to meet daily processing targets.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties within the recycling facility.
• Report any hazards, faults, or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Support other operational tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or warehouse work.
• Basic understanding of recyclable materials.

• Standing for long periods.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Manual handling required.

Shifts:

We have 2 shift patterns available;

Days: Monday – Thursday 9am-7pm & Friday 9am-5pm

OR

Nights: Monday – Thursday 6pm-6am

Pay:

£12.71 per hour

Temporary to Permanent after 12 weeks
