School Cleaner with Enhanced DBS check

Job Purpose

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout the school premises, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
• Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, and other high-contact surfaces
• Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and fittings
• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety hazards
• Lock and secure areas of the building if required
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals

Key Skills & Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience
• MUST HAVE AN ENHANCED DBS CHECK
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work to a schedule

Working Hours

• Monday – Thursday 2pm-5:30pm

Pay:

• £12.71 per hour
