Semi-Skilled Fitter

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Semi-Skilled Fitters to join a busy assembly team. Although demand is currently steady, this is a great opportunity to register your interest ahead of upcoming vacancies.

Shift Pattern (38 hours per week):
Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 4:30pm

Duties include:

Assembly and Fitting
* Assembling and fitting components to a high standard
* Using hand and pneumatic tools to complete builds
* Following technical drawings and work instructions

Production and Quality
* Ensuring all builds meet required specifications and standards
* Carrying out quality checks throughout the assembly process
* Preparing finished units for inspection

Materials and Equipment
* Handling components and ensuring correct parts are used
* Reporting any shortages or issues to supervisors

Health, Safety and Housekeeping
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Following all health and safety procedures
* Wearing appropriate PPE at all times

Candidate Requirements
* Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
* Ability to use hand and power tools
* Ability to read and follow technical drawings
* Good attention to detail and team-working skills

Pay Rate
£12.21 per hour rising to £12.71 per hour from April
