What you’ll be doing

In this senior advisory role, you’ll act as a key HR partner to managers and employees across the organisation. Your work will include:

  • Providing practical, confident HR advice on performance, absence, conduct, and wider employee relations matters

  • Managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes

  • Coaching managers to develop their people management skills and build high-performing teams

  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, and practices that improve the employee experience

  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, induction, and wider employee lifecycle activities

  • Using HR data to spot trends, identify risks, and recommend improvements

  • Ensuring HR operations are accurate, compliant, and run smoothly

  • Contributing to HR projects that strengthen workforce capability and support organisational change

What will help you succeed

You’re likely to thrive in this role if you bring:

  • Strong, hands-on experience in HR advisory work, particularly employee relations

  • Confidence managing complex and sensitive cases with discretion and sound judgement

  • The ability to coach and influence managers at different levels

  • A genuine interest in organisational development and improving how people experience work

  • A collaborative, approachable style and strong relationship-building skills

  • Experience within manufacturing or a similar operational environment

  • Experience improving or implementing HR policies or processes

  • Confidence using HRIS platforms and HR data to inform decisions

  • A strong commitment to compliance and best practice

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) – essential

  • CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent), or working towards – desirable but not essential
