Transport Co-ordinator

Our client in South Preston is looking for a Temp to Perm Transport Co-ordinator to work in the transport department of this busy manufacturing and installations company. You will be working closely with the Transport lead and Operations team as well as the Sales Order Team.

***Immediate Start***

The client is looking for an applicant to join them after the 4th May Bank Holiday and you must be available immediately.

Hours of work: 37.5 Hours X 5 days per week 7.30 – 4pm with 1 hour break)

Responsibilities/Daily Duties:

• Working closely with the Transport Manager
• Accurately prepare and process all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BoL) if required.
• Receiving all Proof of Delivery (POD) documents of drivers and processing the work completed on the internal systems
• Excellent Computer Skills
• Experience in using a Transport Management System (TMS)
• Liaising with the drivers regards work, deliveries to be undertaken
• Liaising with the Operations team and Sales Teams regarding the Transport requirements and booking in the jobs for work to be carried out
• Arranging for repairs and maintenance of vehicles to include MOTs, Servicing and Inspections
• Processing paperwork for Fleet vehicle maintenance or repair
• Support administration for the Compliance Administration
• Phoning external suppliers as well as internal department
• Assisting in the other departments – sales office, operations support

Skills & Experience:

• Must have had Transport/Logistics experience
• Office Administration experience essential of over 12 months
• Organised and attention to detail
• Able to work in a team environment
• Accurate data inputting skills
• Excellent IT skills in Microsoft/Word/Excel
• Confident communicator in person and on the phone
