Warehouse Cleaner

Key Responsibilities

• Clean warehouse floors using sweepers, scrubber-dryers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Remove waste, cardboard, plastic, and other recyclable materials from designated areas.
• Empty bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly.
• Clean welfare facilities including canteens, kitchens, toilets, changing rooms, and offices.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading bays, walkways, stairwells, and warehouse racking areas.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
• Report maintenance issues, spillages, hazards, or damaged equipment to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to COSHH regulations.
• Support deep cleaning activities and special cleaning projects when required.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
• Work alongside warehouse teams to minimise disruption to operations.

Skills and Experience

• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to follow health and safety instructions.
• Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

Working Conditions

• Fast-paced distribution centre environment.
• May involve early mornings, evenings, nights, or weekend shifts.
• Regular walking, lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing.
• Use of PPE including safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, gloves, and eye protection where required.

We have the following shifts available:

Saturday & Sunday 6am-6pm

Saturday 7 Sunday 6pm-6am

Monday – Friday 7am-3pm

The Pay Rates are as follows:

Days: £12.71 per hour

Nights: £13.71 per hour
