Warehouse Operative

Key Responsibilities:

Picking & Packing

• Accurately pick orders using handheld scanners, pick sheets, or voice‑picking systems.
• Pack items securely to meet quality and customer standards.
• Check products for damage or discrepancies before packing.

Goods In / Goods Out

• Assist with unloading and loading deliveries (manual or using MHE if trained).
• Check quantities, batch numbers, and quality of incoming stock.
• Process returns and damaged goods following site procedures.

Warehouse Operations

• Replenish stock locations as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory through regular stock checks and cycle counts.
• Follow all site SOPs and H&S regulations.

Housekeeping & Safety

• Keep work areas clean, organised, and free of hazards.
• Report any safety concerns, damaged racking, or equipment issues immediately.
• Follow safe working practices at all times, including manual handling guidelines.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous warehouse experience (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical tasks.

This role does involve some heavy lifting.

Shifts:

Monday – Friday 6am-2pm OR 2pm-10pm – there is no rotation, you can pick which shift you wish to work

Pay Rate:

£12.71 per hour
