Location: Warrington

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 8:00am-2:00pm

Contract Type: Permanent

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy and growing warehouse operation based in Warrington. This is a varied role that combines hands-on warehouse duties with opportunities to develop skills across logistics, inventory management, purchasing, and warehouse administration.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring products are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You will operate warehouse equipment, maintain stock accuracy, and work closely with colleagues to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.

The role will involve processing orders through warehouse management systems, carrying out stock counts and audits, checking orders for accuracy, and ensuring customer-specific packing and shipping requirements are met. You will also play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all health and safety procedures.

In addition, you will be given the opportunity to learn other areas of the business, including purchasing, logistics, stock control, and inventory management. You may also provide cover for supervisory responsibilities during periods of leave or increased workload.

Experience / Skills Required:

Previous experience operating a reach or counterbalance truck is neccesary for this position

Previous warehouse experience, ideally within a B2B environment

Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar stock control systems

Knowledge of inventory management and stock control processes

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Customer-focused approach with strong organisational skills

Experience within both warehouse and office-based environments is advantageous

Knowledge of purchasing, logistics, or international shipping is beneficial

Calm under pressure with a proactive and flexible attitude

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar role is required for this role
