Warehouse Operative

Main Duties

• Receiving, unloading and checking incoming deliveries.
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
• Storing goods in designated warehouse locations.
• Maintaining stock records and assisting with stock counts.
• Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and, where licensed, forklifts.
• Ensuring products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
• Following Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Assisting with dispatch and shipment preparation.

Skills & Experience

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for stock control systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move stock safely.
• Forklift licence advantageous but not always essential.

Personal Qualities

• Reliable and punctual.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Shifts

Monday – Thursday 7am-4:30pm and Friday 7am-12:30pm

OR

Monday – Thursday 8am-5:30pm and Friday 8am-1:30pm

Pay Rates

£12.71 per hour for basic hours

£19.06 per hour for overtime hours up to 8 hours overtime

£25.42 per hour for overtime hours after 8 hours a day
