Warehouse Operative

We are looking for Warehouse Operatives

Hours: Monday – Friday 1:30pm – 10pm however for the first few weeks in training will be trained on day shifts 8am – 4pm

Pay: £15.10 or if you have a clean driving licence and are successfully assessed and authorised to drive on site your pay will be £15.50 an hour

The role: As a Warehouse Operative you be working from general procedures and instructions, the Material Handler / Warehouse Employee executes basic and standardised warehouse transactions in an accurate and timely manner. The role operates in a warehouse environment and supports day-to-day material handling activities while contributing to safe working practices, operational consistency, and continuous improvement. Your duties will be:

• Execute core warehouse tasks accurately and on time, including picking, packing, scanning, counting products, loading, and related material handling duties like cleaning or any physical activities
• Warehouse systems transactions accurately and within required timeframes
• Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures consistently
• Attention to details
• Contribute to a safe work environment by following Health & Safety standards, procedures, and processes
• Participate in briefing meetings and day-to-day cross-functional floor activities
• Support Lean Warehousing and continuous improvement activities on site
• Contribute to environmental performance initiatives by reducing waste and supporting efficient use of resources
• Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, and site procedures

About you: As a Warehouse Operative you will have the following skills and experience:

• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions;
• Basic PC and numeric skills
• Basic warehouse operations capability, including scanning, handling, packing, or picking activities
• Ability to work effectively with others and contribute to team goals
• Reliable, disciplined approach to completing routine and repetitive tasks
• Ability to speak English
• Awareness of health and safety requirements in a warehouse operational environment
• Flexibility to work across different warehouse activities or shifts, if relevant

Desirable

• Previous 1-2 years minimum experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or distribution operations
• Familiarity with warehouse systems or handheld scanning devices
• Experience working within Lean or continuous improvement environments
• Reach forklift or other equipment experience, if relevant for the local site
• Shows initiative and acts within clear guidelines
• Works in a disciplined, careful, and consistent way
• Focuses on quality, accuracy, and timely completion of tasks
• Demonstrates customer focus through dependable execution and service mindset
• Works respectfully with colleagues
• Stays calm, reliable, and responsible in day-to-day operations
• Follows standards and procedures while contributing positively to team performance
• Proactive approach to the duties
• Comfortable working alone or within a team

Qualifications Desired

• GCSE level or equivalent (UK only)
• Manual Handling certificate
