Warehouse Operative / Hub Operator

Reports To: Warehouse Manager / Responsible Pharmacist

JDR are working with a leading healthcare business to support the expansion of their centralised dispensing operations. These newly created roles are part of a wider programme of innovation and transformation within their warehousing and fulfilment processes.

The role involves preparing, assembling, and processing prescription orders using a combination of automated systems and manual workflows, ensuring high levels of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

What you will do

• Process prescriptions received electronically from partner pharmacy sites
• Label, pick, assemble, and package medication orders
• Operate dispensing, scanning, and workflow systems
• Sort and prepare completed orders for distribution
• Maintain stock control, including replenishment, date checking, and appropriate storage
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and relevant regulatory requirements
• Work to defined productivity and turnaround targets
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment in line with health and safety standards

What you will need

• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow processes and procedures consistently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-led environment
• Basic confidence using technology and scanning systems
• Team-oriented with effective communication skills
• Willingness to undertake training as required
• Previous experience in a similar environment is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided

Working Environment

• Centralised dispensing facility (non-patient facing)
• High-volume, process-driven operation
• Combination of manual handling and automated systems
• Typically Monday to Friday, shift-based working (40 hrs)
• Opportunity for permanent employment after 12 weeks
• £12.71 per hour
