Warehouse Team Leader

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader for a Wholesale Food Service Supplier based in Bury.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader/ Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy. The successful candidate will manage a pick and loading team in a fast-paced environment. The position is paid and suitable for candidates eager to develop their managerial expertise within a dynamic organisation.

Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities for the pick team including order assignment and stock queries
• Organise forklift operations, including loading and unloading goods safely using appropriate mechanical knowledge.
• Work with transport team to ensure all vehicles are loaded in a timely fashion.
• Ensure all invoice paperwork is correctly printed and ready for the drivers to use for their daily routes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation accuracy.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting tasks and standing for extended periods during shifts.
• Counter Balance and Reach Truck License (desirable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and support the warehouse team to achieve daily targets.
• Oversee pick operations ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all warehouse procedures and health and safety standards are followed.
• Train and support warehouse staff to maintain high standards
• Check vehicles for loading accuracy
• A positive, reliable and hands-on approach with a strong work ethic.

Working Sunday – Thursday Night Shifts 8pm-4am

Temporary to Permanent after 12 weeks

£29,000 per annum
