Weekend FLT Driver

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for an FLT Driver on behalf of our client

Location: Deeside

Payrates: Saturday – £16.27 per hour, Sunday – £18.77 per hour

Hours of Work: Saturday and Sunday – 6am to 6pm

Contract Type: Temporary ongoing, with a potential to go permanent

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an FLT / Loading Shovel Operator to join a busy recycling operation. This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced yard environment, focused on the movement and processing of plastic materials.

You will be responsible for operating either a Counterbalance FLT or Loading Shovel to move stock around the yard, ensuring materials are positioned correctly for processing. The role will involve handling large volumes of recycled plastic bottles, supporting the flow of materials through the site efficiently.

Duties will include loading and unloading materials, feeding production or processing areas, and maintaining a safe and organised yard. You will work closely with the wider team to ensure operations run smoothly and targets are met.

This role requires a proactive approach, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and maintaining high working standards in an industrial environment.

Experience / Skills Required:

Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT and/or Loading Shovel

Experience working in a yard, recycling, or industrial environment

Ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor role

Strong awareness of health and safety procedures

Reliable with good timekeeping and a strong work ethic

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience is required for this role

Due to the location of this role, this role is not suitable for someone who commutes via public transport
