JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Part-Time Weekend Warehouse Cleaner in Speke L24, working for a facilities client at the distribution site of a national retailer

Role Purpose

To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic warehouse environment by carrying out routine and deep‑cleaning tasks across operational, storage, and welfare areas. This role supports operational efficiency, site safety, and compliance with hygiene standards.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

Warehouse Floor & Operational Areas

  • Sweep, mop, and scrub warehouse floors using manual and mechanical equipment (e.g., scrubber‑dryer).
  • Remove debris, pallet chips, shrink wrap, and general waste from aisles and work zones.
  • Clean racking bases, loading bays, and dock areas.
  • Keep walkways clear and maintain housekeeping standards (5S).

Equipment & Machinery Cleaning

  • Wipe and sanitise conveyor belts, packing benches, and workstation surfaces (where required).
  • Clean external surfaces of warehouse machinery (no mechanical work involved).
  • Ensure cleaning of forklift/battery charging areas (floor only).

Welfare & Office Areas

  • Clean canteens, break rooms, lockers, toilets, and washrooms.
  • Empty bins and replace liners across welfare areas.
  • Refill consumables (soap, hand towels, toilet rolls).

Waste Management

  • Collect and dispose of recyclable and general waste in designated areas.
  • Support compacting/baling waste where trained (optional depending on site).
  • Maintain cleanliness around waste disposal zones.

Health & Safety

  • Follow site safety rules, COSHH guidelines, and safe use of chemicals.
  • Wear PPE such as gloves, safety footwear, and hi‑vis.
  • Report hazards, spillages, or maintenance issues immediately.
  • Carry out spill‑response cleaning when required.

Other Responsibilities

  • Work independently or as part of a cleaning team.
  • Use cleaning equipment safely (mops, sweepers, scrubber‑dryers).
  • Ensure cleaning cupboards and materials are kept organised.
  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous cleaning or industrial environment experience is essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to a schedule.
  • Good level of physical fitness (role involves walking, bending, lifting light items).
  • Understanding of Health & Safety (training provided).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Hours of Work:

Saturday & Sunday 2pm-10pm – 15 hours paid per week

Pay Rate
