Celebrating the 1 Year Anniversary of JDR

Reflecting on the journey of JDR in our first year of business, it’s hard to believe that only twelve months ago this business existed only in vision. Today we look back on a year defined by rapid growth and unwavering commitment by our people. For me this milestone highlights how a team with no initial infrastructure transformed into an industry disruptor within the recruitment space. 

The Power of the Collective

People often ask me my stand our moment of the last year, and for me, it’s the people.  What makes me incredibly proud isn’t just the many individual successes but the fact that every member of this team has operated with a JDR-first mindset. From day one, the question from everyone has been “What do we need to do to make JDR successful, and what part can I play in that?” Seeing a group of people come together to build something from nothing, putting in the effort and staying focused on our collective goals, has been the highlight of my career so far. 

Looking Ahead to Year Two 

As we move into our second year, the mission doesn’t change, but our reach will.  Here is what I’m most excited about for the next 12 months:  
  • Expanding Our Footprint: We are looking at new geographies and sectors to diversify our support for clients and candidates.  
  • New Expertise: We’ve got some incredible talent joining us early this year - bringing fresh perspectives, new energy and added expertise. 
  • Cementing Our Reputation: After doing some heavy lifting in year one, year two will be about repeat business. We want to prove to our clients that we aren’t just a flash in the pan, we’re integral long-term partners. 

Making Waves

We may currently be a small cog in a massive industry, but I like to think we are starting to make waves. We are going at this with dedicated focus because we believe in our model and, more importantly, we believe in our people. Some of our year-one highlights:  
  •  50+ incredible team members
  • 13 branches across the UK (with more to be announced very soon) 
  • 300+ valued client partnerships 
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far, from candidates to clients. Whether you’ve worked with us directly or just sent well-wishes, it means a lot.  Year one was a blast, year two will be even better.
