We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join one of our key clients as a Buyer within their growing and successful procurement department. This role is key to ensuring the efficient procurement and availability of products across multiple distribution sites. You’ll play a pivotal role in balancing stock availability with cost efficiency, supporting operational performance while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

The Role:

  • Manage stock levels across a supplier portfolio to meet key inventory KPIs
  • Optimise product availability while minimising excess and slow-moving stock
  • Analyse stock trends and supplier lead times against demands
  • Raise and manage purchase orders
  • Build and maintain effective supplier relationships
  • Source new products and obtain quotations
  • Provide timely updates on stock availability and delivery schedules
  • Support decision-making through accurate reporting and insights
  • Support onboarding of new products and suppliers

The Candidate:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Previous buying/procurement experience within an MRP environment – desirable
