The Opportunity

As a Hose Assembly / Production Operative, you will be responsible for the preparation, assembly, testing, and inspection of hydraulic and industrial hose products to customer specifications. You’ll work as part of a close-knit production team, ensuring all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Similar roles typically involve cutting, preparing, swaging, testing, packaging, and inspecting hose assemblies while maintaining accurate stock and quality records.


Key Responsibilities

βœ… Assembling hydraulic and industrial hose products to customer specifications
βœ… Cutting, preparing, crimping, and testing hose assemblies
βœ… Reading and following job sheets, specifications, and assembly instructions
βœ… Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring products meet required standards
βœ… Packing and preparing completed orders for dispatch
βœ… Assisting with stock control, goods-in, and warehouse duties as required
βœ… Maintaining machinery, tools, and equipment in line with company procedures
βœ… Keeping work areas clean, organised, and safe
βœ… Supporting colleagues across production and warehouse operations when required


What We’re Looking For

Essential

βœ” Previous experience within a manufacturing, assembly, engineering, or production environment
βœ” Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
βœ” Good practical and mechanical aptitude
βœ” Ability to follow instructions and work accurately
βœ” Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated approach
βœ” Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable

βž• Previous hose assembly experience
βž• Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, engineering, or industrial products
βž• Counterbalance Forklift Licence
βž• Experience using hand tools, measuring equipment, or assembly machinery
