A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Inventory Controller to ensure the effective and accurate management of stock within the new warehouse (Blackburn) of this international company. You role will be to take control and ensure that you are maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and to support customer and business requirements.

YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START WITHIN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS – INTERVIEW

THIS IS A LONG TERM OPPORTUNITY

You must have previous experience of working in a busy inventory/stock logistics environment

Proven experience of problem solving and dealing with stock discrepancies

Excellent IT skills (SAP & Excel) for management reporting

Strong Communication skills and used to working with staff at all levels

Monday – Friday 37.5 hours – 8 -4.30 (some flexibility required)

THIS ROLE IS BASED ON SITE (NOT HYBRID) AND YOU MUST HAVE PERMANENT RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK

What you will be doing:

Inventory Accuracy and Control

  • Ensuring physical stock is aligned with system records
  • Completed cycle counts and stock checks in accordance with schedules
  • Identify, investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
  • Monitor stock movement, ensure stock is identified, located and controlled

Investigation & Problem Solve

  • Key point of contact for inventory related discrepancies
  • Lead investigations in variances, inventory issues and take corrective action
  • Prevent recurrence of issues and ensure escalation of issues is taken where appropriate

Inventory Reporting & Performance

  • Produce accurate and timely inventory and warehouse performance reports
  • Maintenance of inventory data
  • Provide clear analysis of performance, stock accuracy , discrepancies

Stock Management

  • Support effective stock management
  • Monitor ageing of stock and identify opportunity for improvement
  • Process Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Process Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure processes/controls are consistently followed
  • Identify and implement opportunity for improvement

Stakeholder Management

  • Build an effective working relationship with Management, Warehouse staff, Customer Service, Planning and Operations as well as Finance

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Used to working in a warehouse environment and has been involved in movement of stock and working closely with the staff to during stock take (ideally you will have Counterbalance or a minimum experience of using Pallet Trucks)

  • Reporting
  • Able to communicate and deal with issues in a calm manner
