JDR Recruitment is currently working with a leading food production business to recruit a Key Operative – Quality Control to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Quality Control Technician experience who is passionate about food safety, product quality, and maintaining the highest manufacturing standards in a fast-paced production environment.

The Opportunity

As Key Operative – Quality Control, you will take ownership of food safety and quality standards across the production floor during your shift. You will work closely with production, technical, and hygiene teams to ensure all products meet internal specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

This role is ideal for someone with previous experience as a Quality Control Technician, Quality Operative, or within a similar food manufacturing quality role.

What You’ll Be Doing

✅ Monitoring food safety and quality standards across production lines
✅ Conducting regular quality checks and inspections
✅ Verifying products meet customer and internal specifications
✅ Monitoring HACCP controls, CCP checks, and site procedures
✅ Completing quality records, traceability documents, and inspection reports
✅ Supporting investigations and corrective actions when issues arise
✅ Assessing raw materials and preparing samples for testing
✅ Supporting production teams to maintain consistent standards
✅ Assisting with training on quality and hygiene procedures
✅ Promoting strong housekeeping and food safety practices

What We’re Looking For

Essential

✔ Previous experience as a Quality Control Technician or similar quality-focused role
✔ Experience working within food manufacturing or production environments
✔ Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards
✔ Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
✔ Strong communication and teamwork abilities
✔ Proactive, reliable, and quality-focused attitude

Desirable

➕ Relevant food safety or quality qualifications
➕ Experience with HACCP and compliance procedures
