Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
Pay Rate: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday – Days

JDR Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Laser Operator / Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our client, a well-established manufacturing and engineering business based in Sutton-in-Ashfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience within laser cutting, sheet metal or fabrication looking for a long-term role with the opportunity to secure permanent employment.

The Role:

• Operating laser cutting machinery within a busy engineering environment
• Working with sheet metal and metal components
• Loading and unloading materials onto machinery
• Selecting programmes and adjusting machine settings where required
• Cutting materials to required specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Measuring and checking finished components
• Carrying out quality inspections
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to a high standard
• General fabrication duties as required

The Candidate:
The successful Laser Operator / Sheet Metal Fabricator will ideally have:

• Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery
• Experience working with sheet metal or metal fabrication
• Ability to read engineering drawings (preferred)
• Knowledge of working with metal materials
• Experience using measuring equipment
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm

39 hours per week
30-minute unpaid break each day

Pay:
£14.00 – £15.00 per hour depending on experience
