Machine Operator

JDR Recruitment are seeking Technical Machine Operators to join a growing production team in New Mills.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous machine operating or manufacturing experience who are looking for a stable, long-term role within a well-established production environment.

Pay: £13.10 + £1.86 allowance

Shift Pattern

Week 1:
Monday to Thursday: 06:00 – 14:00
Friday: 06:00 – 12:00

Week 2:
Monday to Thursday: 14:00 – 22:00
Friday: 12:00 – 18:00

This is a rotating 2-week shift pattern.

About the Role

As a Technical Machine Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring machinery runs efficiently and production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting up and operating production machinery

• Monitoring machine performance and making basic adjustments

• Carrying out routine quality checks

• Identifying and reporting faults or production issues

• Assisting with basic maintenance tasks where required

• Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed

• Maintaining a clean and organised work area

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience

• Technically minded with good problem-solving skills

• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment

• Strong attention to detail

• Reliable and flexible

• Good communication skills
