Job Type: Temp to Perm
Pay: £14.25 per hour

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 3:45pm
• Friday: 7:00am to 1:00pm

JDR is recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business in Bolton. This is a temp to perm opportunity offering regular daytime hours, an early finish every Friday and the chance to join a growing production team.

You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality welded components while working from engineering drawings in a busy workshop environment.

The Role

• Carry out MIG welding on a range of metal components
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Fabricate and assemble parts to specification
• Operate robotic welding equipment, making basic adjustments where required (training provided)
• Use plasma cutting equipment when needed
• Inspect finished work to maintain high quality standards
• Identify and resolve fabrication or welding issues
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Support other areas of production when required

What We’re Looking For

• Previous MIG welding experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment
• Experience with robotic welding or plasma cutting would be an advantage, but is not essential
