Plant Fitter

Our client in Leyland is looking for a Skilled Plant Fitter to take ownership of maintain and repairing our fleet of heavy plant equipment. From diagnosing complex hydraulic faults to rebuilding engines and keeping vital machinery operating at peak performance. this is hands-on, high-impact work where your experience matters. If you get satisfaction from stripping down engines, fault-finding hydraulic systems, and seeing a machine roar back into action – this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing heavy plant machinery

• Mechanical & systems knowledge: A deep understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systemsis essential. This includes proficiency with engines (two-stroke and diesel), gearboxes, and transmissions.

• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Stripping and rebuilding major components
• Working with a supportive, skilled workshop team
• Ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and job-ready

Due to the nature of the role a car driver would be preferred, as delivery of the machinery to site can be needed.

What the Company offer – to include

Working Hours Monday – Friday 42.5 hours per week

7.30am – 5pm
