Job Title: Production Operative
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Location: Pontypool
Start Date: Immediate
Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00am – 3:30pm
Additional information: Must hold a valid FLT Licence

Job Description:
JDR Recruitment are currently looking for reliable and hard-working Production Operatives to join our client’s busy manufacturing team based in Pontypool. This is an excellent opportunity for long-term, full-time work with the potential to become permanent.

The Role:
As a Production Operative, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day manufacturing process, supporting the production team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Operating production machinery and equipment safely
* Assisting with the assembly and finishing of manufactured products
* Loading and unloading materials
* Operating a forklift as required
* Carrying out basic quality checks
* Maintaining a clean and organised work area
* Always Following health & safety procedures
* Supporting other production and workshop tasks as required

This role is hands-on and can be physically demanding, requiring good manual handling ability.

About You:
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds a valid FLT Licence (essential)
* Has previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)
* Is reliable, punctual, and has a positive attitude
* Works well as part of a team and can follow instructions
* Takes pride in maintaining a safe and tidy workspace
* Has their own PPE (safety boots, hi-vis, gloves, etc.)
* Has access to transport due to the site location
