QHSE Advisor

Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 DOE

JDR is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing waste management business based in Aberdeen, for a QHSE Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QHSE professional to play a key role in developing and promoting a positive culture of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across the organisation. Working closely with teams throughout the business, you will help ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental performance are maintained while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

As QHSE Advisor, you will work collaboratively across the business to develop, implement and improve QHSE systems and processes. You will provide guidance and support to management and operational teams, ensuring compliance with legislation, industry standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate QHSE management systems, policies and procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate site inspections and audits with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Deliver QHSE training, guidance and support across the business.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Support the continuous improvement of QHSE performance throughout the organisation.
  • Maintain and support the company’s ISO management systems.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to promote best practice and a strong safety culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar QHSE position and be confident working with stakeholders at all levels of the business.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a QHSE-focused role.
  • Strong working knowledge of QHSE management systems and industry best practices.
  • Experience maintaining and working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage colleagues across different departments.
  • IOSH qualification.
  • A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and compliance.
