Welder – Immediate Start

Location: Kirkby-in-Ashfield, NG17
Pay: £16-£24.10 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Mon – Fri, Day Shifts
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Start: Immediate

JDR Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder to join our client in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, NG17.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an immediate start available, working within an established heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication environment.

The Role

Working as part of a busy workshop team, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating a range of heavy steel components and structures.

Duties include:

• MIG welding

• Welding around CHS (Circular Hollow Section)

• Steel fabrication and assembly

• Working with heavy steel components

• Working from engineering drawings and specifications where required

• Ensuring work meets the required quality standards

• Following health and safety procedures

• Working effectively within a busy industrial workshop

What We’re Looking For

• Previous welding experience is essential

• Good MIG welding experience

• Experience welding around CHS is beneficial

• Previous experience within a heavy industrial, engineering, manufacturing or fabrication environment

• Comfortable working with steel and heavier components

• Good attention to detail

• Reliable and hardworking

• Able to work safely and efficiently in a busy workshop

What’s On Offer

• £16-£24 per hour, depending on shifts and experience

• Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm

• Friday 7:15am-1:30pm

• Overtime available
