We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Coordinator for our client based in Chester le Street, County Durham.

This role is a temporary role for six months to cover maternity leave with an immediate start

Hours – Monday to Friday day shift

Salary – £17.00ph paid weekly based on 40 hours per week

Duties include

Planning daily deliveries from Bamburgh down to Darlington and across to the Lake District

Ensure all shipments meet customer requirements and timelines

Use platforms to post loads, book transport, track shipments and manage documentation

Resolve transport issues quickly and efficiently

Managing driver’s workload in line with the working time directive and legislation

Maintain accurate records and communicate updates to drivers and customers

Requirements

Recent experience of working within transport planning

Good geographical knowledge of the UK

Excellent communication skills

Well organised with attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and time management skills

Confident with computers and comfortable learning new systems

An understanding of the working time directive legislation for driver hours
