Location: On the road (across South Wales)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (rising to £13.27 after successful probation)

JDR Recruitment are currently supporting a valued client in the search for a reliable and professional Van Driver to join their transport team on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability within a well-established business, with consistent weekday hours and early finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles in line with road regulations
• Complete pre-planned delivery routes across various locations within South Wales
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure all goods are handled and transported securely
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points – this is a highly customer-facing role
• Build positive relationships with customers and represent the business professionally
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and transport teams
• Follow company processes and procedures at all times

Person Specification

Essential:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• No penalty points
• Previous experience driving delivery vehicles safely and responsibly
• Ability to carry out basic vehicle inspections
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, professional, and confident dealing with customers

Desirable:

• Experience working within a fast-paced transport or logistics environment
• Strong teamwork and customer service background
