Yard Operative / FLT Driver

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Yard Operative / FLT Driver to join our client based in Deeside CH5

This position is temporary to permanent.

As a Yard Operative you will be responsible for site housekeeping, conducting machinery checks and assisting the effective running of the site.

Location: Deeside CH5

Job Role: Yard Operative / FLT Driver

Pay Rate: £13.39 per hour + £10 shift premium

Hours of Work: Week 1 – Mon – Fri – 6am – 2pm / Week 2 – Mon – Fri 2pm – 10pm

The Role:

• Loading and unloading containers and curtain siders by use of Fork Lift Truck
• Removing non-conforming materials from the material bought to site
• Completing daily checks and ensuring machinery, plant and equipment are in good, safe working order and completing daily plant books
• Conducting regular checks on work areas, reporting any problems.
• Rotation of stock around site and cleaning of yard to maintain an efficient site
• Ensuring the company Health Safety and environmental policies are strictly adhered to.
• Closely liaising with our Weighbridge Operator to understand daily inbound/outbound material and stock levels

Skills / Experience:

• A minimum of 12 months FLT experience
• Previous yard operative experience
• Able to work as part of a team
• Strong communication skills.
