About the Role

We are looking for an experienced CAD/CAM Designer to support the design and manufacture of signage and cladding systems. You will create accurate 2D & 3D drawings and CNC-ready files, ensuring designs are production-ready and aligned with fabrication capabilities.

This role is ideal for someone with strong 3D modelling skills and experience working with CNC routing, aluminium systems, and architectural drawings.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Produce precise 2D & 3D CAD models for signage and cladding systems
✔ Generate CAM files, toolpaths, nesting layouts & cutting schedules
✔ Interpret architectural drawings, site surveys & client briefs
✔ Ensure designs are manufacturable and efficient for production
✔ Prepare fabrication packs, installation drawings & as-built documentation
✔ Liaise with project managers & production teams to resolve technical issues
✔ Follow UK standards, material specifications & quality procedures

Required Skills & Experience

✔ Proven CAD/CAM design experience in signage, cladding, metalwork or fabrication
✔ Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or Fusion 360
✔ Experience with CAM software such as AlphaCAM or Vectric
✔ Essential: Strong 3D modelling capability
✔ Understanding of CNC routing, folding & fabrication processes
✔ Knowledge of materials including ACM, aluminium, steel & acrylic

✔ Ability to read architectural drawings and produce manufacturing-ready designs
✔ High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
