Further Education Agriculture Lecturer – Antrim

Location: Greenmount Campus, Antrim
Pay: Approx. £21.35 per hour
Hours: 37 hours | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Contract: Temporary assignment – 5 October 2026 to 30 June 2027

JDR Recruitment is recruiting a Further Education Agriculture Lecturer for a Northern Ireland Civil Service assignment with DAERA at CAFRE Greenmount Campus.

The role will support the delivery and assessment of the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Agriculture, while also providing tutoring and pastoral support to students.

The Role

You will:

• Deliver and assess the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Agriculture.
• Tutor a group of Level 2 agriculture students.
• Monitor student attendance and progress.
• Provide pastoral support where required.
• Assist with supervision of BSc degree projects.
• Attend education team meetings and support wider CAFRE activity.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must have:

• A minimum 2:1 BSc in Agriculture or a closely related subject.
• Access to suitable transport to meet the travel requirements of the role.

Previous experience delivering education courses and assessing student learning would be advantageous.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate will be required to complete the relevant pre-employment checks and obtain Enhanced security clearance.
